On Thursday 17^th November we held our second client seminar for the year at the Federal Golf Club.  Our guest speaker was Keith Scott, one of Australia’s leading impressionists.  He entertained the audience with his impersonations which ranged from Looney Toons characters, famous celebrities such as Russell Crowe, politicians including Bob Hawke and Barack Obama and even the Queen.  His Tony Abbott impersonation was a particular stand out for many in the crowd.  We would like to thank all our clients for joining us for the evening and hope they enjoyed the night as much as we did. 

Our next client seminar will be held during the first half of next year with more details available closer to the date. 

Tour de Femme

On a beautiful spring day in November two members of the Fiducian team, Liz and Sheryn, joined over 500 other women to take part in the Tour de Femme.  The Tour de Femme is a 20km women’s only race around Lake Burley Griffin.  They joined a diverse range of women with competitors aged between 12 and 80.  Congratulations Liz and Sheryn for a great effort.

On Tuesday 24^th May 2011 we held a seminar for our clients at the Federal Golf Club. Cameron Darrow provided a brief budget summary which was followed with a presentation by Chris Prunty from Ausbil. Chris, who has responsibility for sector and stock analysis and portfolio construction for the Ausbil MicroCap Fund, discussed the current economic environment and the risks and opportunities associated with investing in MicroCaps.

It is always held within a week of Anzac Day and recognises the contribution and sacrifices made by Defence personnel in serving our Nation. We are pleased to have the opportunity to sponsor this event which we have now been doing for over 10 years.

On Friday 4^th March Fiducian Financial Services Deakin sponsored the International Women’s Day lunch organised by UN Women.

There was a table of ten women made up of staff and clients who joined a thousand other people who came to support the promotion of women’s rights and celebrate 100 years of International Women’s Day.

The guest speaker was Princess Kasune Zulu who is one of Africa’s leading activists in combating AIDs. All money raised from the event went to UN Women’s projects that promote female political participation and leadership.
